Cars 2 video game trailer – Click above to watch the video
Cars 2 is coming to theaters everywhere on June 24, and if we’re honest, we’re pretty stoked. The original Cars movie was, after all, a great flick with an all-car cast. And thanks to the popularity of the first Cars movie, Disney and Pixar plan to make a Mater-load of cash with this second round, and not just on the movie itself.
Disney Pixar is (predictably) working on the video game Cars 2: Spies Wanted, which will reportedly become available in July for the Sony PlayStation 3, XBOX 360, Nintendo Wii and DS. And this time, it looks like Lightning McQueen and the gang won’t be maxing and relaxing in secluded Radiator Springs.
Judging by the post-jump trailer, there appear to be bad guys, guns and rockets. We’re typically not all that thrilled about games that are based on a movie (because they usually aren’t that great), but since we always fans of games that involve driving, we may be willing to give this one a shot. to watch the trailer.

Itsa him… Rémi Gaillard, bringing Mario Kart into the real world – Click above to watch video
Rémi Gaillard is at it again. You might remember the last time the Frenchman took to his local streets in a go-kart, because he did it while dressed as the Nintendo character Mario. Gaillard has stocked up on more bananas and turtle shells in a new video where he gives the real world a taste of Mario Kart.
Since the banana is such an important tool on both the offensive and defensive side of Mario Kart driving tactics, Gaillard needs to keep a few of them handy. When he runs out he simply heads to the nearest grocery store… and proceeds to drive to the produce section.
His original video, posted , has been watched over 35 million times, and the sequel is already climbing into multiple millions of views as well. and keep an eye out for green shells and banana peels while watching both clips of Rémi Gaillard bringing Mario Kart to life.
The Nintendo DS, a handheld video game system, can be a major time-suck for us kids of all ages. It’s no surprise that the mother of seven year-old Christoper Miszkowiec wanted him to cut down on the amount of time he spends playing with one. What is surprising is that mom Kathleen has recently had a change of heart. What prompted this reversal? Christoper saved her life with his toy.
We may come across cattle, deer and a host of other animals when driving here in the States. Down in Australia, the Miszkowiec family was driving down a country road late one evening when a kangaroo hopped across their path. The car crashed into the creature, causing it to roll several times.
The father of the family was able to scramble out of the vehicle and rescue the couple’s six-month old child, the youngest of three. Christoper unbuckled himself and then his five-year old brother, but Kathleen was unconscious up front. A country road is an especially dark place at night and it was impossible to see, so Christoper turned on his Nintendo DS. Using the light from the screen, he made his way to his mother and got her out of her seat to safety.
To honor the young man, Christopher Miszkowiec was part of a group that received Ambulance Victoria Community Hero awards for extraordinary life-saving acts. The award was presented at Melbourne’s Parliament House.
In a really good year, sells about 10,000 vehicles. That exclusivity is part of the brand’s cachet, but exactly how much brand-name juice does Aston have? In the UK, apparently, more than any other.
The Superbrands Cool Brands survey by the UK-based Centre for Brand Analysis crowned Aston Martin as the coolest brand among the top 500 companies studied. 2,000 consumers and a panel of designers, editorial types and brand consultants gave the nod to Aston Martin after a tough battle against the likes of the iPhone, iPod, BlackBerry and Harley-Davidson. While Aston took the top spot overall, high tech companies like Google, Apple, YouTube and Nintendo dominate the list. The only other automakers making the cut are at number nine and at 16.
We love Aston Martin, but it’s pretty clear that it benefited from some UK home-cooking here. After all, the BBC iPlayer made the top 20 in this survey…
