Asus and have teamed up for yet another new round of computer products. The raging bull has supplied design touches to various Asus laptops over the past few years, and this marks the seventh generation of car/computer collaboration. Called the VX7 and inspired by the , this Asus laptop features leather-lined palm-rests, a Lamborghini logo atop the clamshell lid and a set of Lambo-inspired taillights out back. Certainly the best part, no?
Available in Orange or Carbon Fiber, the VX7 utilizes a 2.0-GHz Intel Core processor and boasts 16GB of RAM, a Blu-Ray combo drive and a massive 1.5-TB of storage thanks to a dual hard-drive setup. Like any self-respecting machine carrying the Lamborghini badge, this bad boy won’t come cheap – the pre-order asking price is €1,995. That’s about $2,826 in U.S. currency for those of us sitting Stateside. Thanks for the tip, Pasi!
Things tend to get out of hand with . Whether you’re driving one and just can’t resist pushing the pedal to the floor, or buying one and end up laying down an extra five figures on options. The same goes for Lamborghini electronics, too. Sant’Agata teams up with Asus for that bit, and for better or worse, the Taiwanese computer company has given us some as a result.
Of course, like a Lambo supercar, Asus’ line of Lambo circuit-boxes don’t come cheap. And now they’ve launched a suitably Lamborghini peripheral. Imbued with lines inspired by the company’s sportscars, this external hard drive looks the part, and with available USB 3.0 connectivity, stands to live up to the promise of performance. Unfortunately the price tag is suitably Lambo-like as well: the starting price of $120 for a 500GB drive with the slower USB 2.0 connection makes it almost twice as expensive as an ordinary hard drive.

Take a particular slant on supercar history and you’d be forgiven for categorizing as another pretender to ’s throne. Enzo was, after all, the spiteful impetus for Ferruccio’s branching out from tractors to sportscars, and some might say has been playing catch-up ever since. Whatever way you look at it, that’s certainly the case when it comes to merchandising, an area which – for better or worse – Ferrari’s long been the leader.
As Ferrari has its line of Acer computers, so has Lamborghini teamed up with Asus for a range of laptops. But this is something altogether different. Tonino Lamborghini – Ferruccio’s son with his own line of merchandise – has granted his name and variation on the raging bull badge to be used on this seemingly pedestrian laptop. The specs are rather run-of-the-mill and the design is rather uninspired, as you’ll find in the gallery below and the source links. But at 649 euros, it’s a fair bit cheaper than the four-figure tags on either its namesake’s or its rival’s more upscale offerings.
Growing up, we spent most of our innocent youth being envious of the kid down the street. While we were spending our nights stuck in a lame twin bed, he was having the time of his life by catching his 40 winks in a genuine race car bed. Don’t let anyone try to tell you life is fair. As it turns out, ASUS is out to help you elicit that same level of epic jealousy in your fellow coworkers with a new line of -inspired laptops.
Both the LX6 and LX7 feature a glossy case with styling borrowed directly from the tail-end of the ever-sexy . Under the hood, er case, is a slew of drool-worthy tech, including a dual-core Atom 525 processor and a sound system courtesy of the gurus at Bang & Olfsen. They’re sexy, they’re over the top and they’re everything we would hope a Raging Bull laptop would be. AvusASUS (Thanks, all!) hasn’t released pricing on either of the two lappies, but chances are that they’ll be considerably less costly than the four-wheeled products from Sant’Agata.
