For those of you outside of the United States, Mitsubishi has let loose the goods on the 2012 Shogun. It is mainly a matter of detail tweaks, with a bolder, shinier, redesigned front and new items like the six-spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels and black roof rails. The turbodiesel engine is Euro V compliant, but it posts the same 197 horsepower and gas mileage numbers of the outgoing model.

Nomenclature has shifted, too, with JR and KS designations replaced by SG2, SG3 and SG4 in short- and long-wheelbase kit. The Warrior model carries over, and “will sit above the SG2.” Prices work out to £29,499 ($47,574 based on current exchange rates) for a base SG2, ascending to £40,999 ($66,121) for the SG4.
