Land Rover has slapped a sticker on its all-new 2012 Range Rover Evoque, and when sales begin this fall, $43,995 (not including destination) will get you behind the wheel of LR’s smallest, most efficient ‘ute.

In the run-up to launch, LR made a fuss about the amount of lightweight materials used on the Evoque, ranging from Boron steel in the chassis to composite fenders, a magnesium cross beam and aluminum roof, hood and suspension bits. In addition to utilizing recycled plastic material inside, all that weight-saving tech adds up to a curb weight of 3,680 pounds and – more importantly – a rather commendable 19 miles per gallon in the city and 28 mpg on the highway; sure to help the automakers CAFE standings here in the States.
